He is all boy

It is really amazing how some things just come naturally to little boys, and a little boy is exactly what Drew is becoming. It seems that every day he wakes up he loses more of the baby which makes his mommy very sad.

For the last few weeks, we have been looking at trading in Nayt's sexy but impractical sports car for something more family friendly and we would bring Drew to the car lots. I have never seen a kid happier then our son looking at cars! He would run from car to car, check out the tires, hop in the drivers seat and try to start them up. Where he got the whole checking the tire thing is beyond me. We also know that if we want Drew to be happy, we better pack a few of his trucks in his bag because he will play for hours with them. And no one showed him how to drive the trucks on the ground or make the Vroom Vroom sounds he does so well. And he seriously freaks out when he sees a big semi driving down the road! 

Drew also adores balls. Nayt surprised him by bringing home a nerf ball from work and i wish i would have gotten the look that lit up his face. You'd think he would have handed him the world. 

The other thing that Drew loves is trains. He will go around the house all day chugging and choo choo-ing. It makes me smile every time. 

I just find it amazing how some things you don't have to teach kids, they just do naturally. While I admit we do have pretty traditional gender roles in our house, it has never been something we have purposefully shown Drew but he has picked up on so much even at 2.
