One month old!

Holy cow, how is it possible our little lady it one month old as of yesterday? Wasn't it just yesterday that we were bringing her home from the hospital?! Seriously, it has been a whirl wind of a month and I really hope someone hits that pause button soon because I don't want her to grow up to fast. I finally feel like we are getting settled into a routine though and that is nice. Also, I am finally starting to heal and it doesn't look like i will have to have more surgery, though Dr. D doesn't think I will be fully better for at least another 4 weeks. I won't lie, I am so jealous of all the 2-3 week pp c-section mom's who feel totally normal. But Alynn really is a great baby, and I couldn't be more grateful for how easy the transition from 1 kid to 2 has been.

How old: 1 month already!!

How big is she now: As of our last weight check on Thursday she was a whopping 7lbs, 3oz and 19 inches long. I am guessing that by now she is up to her birth weight but i will know for sure on Friday. I find it amusing the my 1 month old is smaller then most newborns, and that as of yesterday, newborn size clothes were just fitting her perfectly! She is such a peanut!

How much is she sleeping: She is a pretty good sleeper, all things considered. During the day she will be up for an hour, eat, then sleep for 2 hours and she will sleep through all the noise her brother makes. At night she sleeps from 10 until 12, then again from 12:30 until 3:30, then 4- until 6. Then our day starts over when Drew barges in at 7am.

Where does she sleep at: At night, she sleeps in her bassinet until our last feeding before we wake up, somehow she manages to find her way in bed and snuggled up next to daddy. During the day, she will nap where ever I am at.

How much is she eating: We nurse for 15 minutes on either side, and then she gets 2 1/2 oz of formula.

Favorite activities: She loves being in the moby wrap. Loves it. (that is where she is right now. yay for two handing typing!) She also likes hanging out in her swing watching her brother play, sleeping on mommy's chest, and she enjoys trying to stand on daddy's lap.

Milestones: she lost her umbilical chord at 2 weeks, and she is now trying to lift her head (and she can manage to hold it for a few minutes now. Go Alynn!).
